The Quiet Landing

Wild Hearts Retreat didn't begin with a business plan or a blueprint.

It began with mercy.

On a small Caribbean island, where time somewhat stands still, horses have long been part of the landscape and the culture.

What started as a farm focused on growing fruit trees, lending compassion for a few of these horses and dogs in need slowly grew into something much larger; a sanctuary for rescued animals and, ultimately, a place where people could find healing too.
The founders recognized that the environment itself had a powerful effect on people. Visitors felt calmer, more connected, more hopeful and better able to step away from the pressures of daily life.

Since 2021, we have nursed orphaned, sick and injured foals, helped place island dogs in to loving homes and adopted three horses and two rescue dogs whom now live on the farm. Every life changed is a reminder that compassion has a way of multiplying.

From story to mission.

Wild Hearts Retreat Inc. was established in 2025 as a non-profit 501c3 organization to extend that spirit of compassion beyond our farm- creating opportunities for rest, renewal, education, and meaningful connection through nature, rescued animals, and community.
The organization intends to serve residents of Puerto Rico, the mainland United States and those whom travel to Vieques to unplug, reconnect, reflect, create, and experience personal renewal.

We are everyday people helping other people experiencing stress, grief, burnout, trauma, loneliness, disconnection or major life changes by providing creative wellness programs.
